PAPER HATS

The paper hats were made in the Publications / Art Department of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA at Christmas, 1943. They were made primarily to escape the excrutiating boredom while waiting for our next assignment, and additionaly to bug the officers who constantly demanded a totally correct dress (uniform) -- day and night. They were made with whatever materials were available at the time. They happened on several occasions with variations.
